There are as many mysteries about Baul Culture as there are facts. The mystical realms of their poetry and song go beyond the ordinary, into the extra ordinary. The Baul's music and songs are connected to the vast spiritual traditions of India as well as the rich fabric of Indian cultural life, telling stories of mystic love and divine inspiration. All of these poems and songs are handed on through the oral tradition, generation to generation.

Haradhan Das Baul is born into this traditional lineage and here, in the second album we have the pleasure to share with you, you can enjoy something of his solo songs once again.

The fragility of life becomes ever more apparent with each passing month. Immediately after these recordings were made he fell extremely ill and was unable to support his family for many months. Haradhan requested that I explain the fragility in his voice was due to his ailing health. However the beauty of his tradition and art of his musical personality are self evident, as these gems of musical, mystic poetry resound our Souls.
